ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Appoints the Rev. David Cregan, OSA, PhD, as Dean of the College of Professional Studies
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø President the Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, PhD, ’75 CLAS, announced the appointment of the Rev. David Cregan, OSA, PhD, ’89 CLAS, as Dean of the College of Professional Studies, effective August 1. A member of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’s faculty since 2004, Father Cregan has extensive experience in academic leadership roles and currently serves as associate dean of Academic Affairs and Strategic Initiatives for the College of Professional Studies.
Scientists at the Vera C. Rubin Observatory recently gave the public its first glimpse into the capabilities of its 8.4-meter Simonyi Survey Telescope, which is equipped with the world’s largest digital camera and can photograph the whole southern sky every few nights. The data from this 10-year time lapse project will greatly expand research opportunities for ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø faculty and students through the newly-launched The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø One Sky Center for Astrophysics and its partnership with Rubin.Â
